Hawaii 42, San Jose State 35 (Final)

At this rate,

we are stuck with boring Oklahoma, media darling Florida, somehow-still-alive USC...

Illinois, South Florida and Boston College are the last hopes for the title of this year's Boise State, IMO.

BTW, do YOU think Texas Tech has a BCS shot?
A slim one. They'll have to play near-flawless football. Can't trip up again, not with OU, UT, and Mizzou all on the schedule, and not only are they on the road to Mizzou and UT, but Colorado too, where the Sooners got beat.

So it's a longshot, and realistically I don't think they pull it off, but I'm crossing my fingers for a Texas Tech-Missouri championship game anyway.

You give me the third from the left and I'll breed you a team of giant super linemen.

1992 and 1999. Still, what does that have to do with this year? Errrrr. Next.

Hawaii will beat Boise State at Aloha Stadium. Hawaii will beat Washington at Aloha Stadium.

Hawaii is hurting the house. Hawaii is making anyone riding the Hawaii train free money.

If this game isn't a sign from god you need to talk to your local bookie, I don't know what is. Screw the BCS, I was preaching before this season started that Hawaii was a gamblers dream.

I've gotta admit to wondering what you were thinking when it was 35-21 with about 5 minutes left. :wink2:

Boise State shot their wad last year. Hawaii is the "flavor of the month"? 7-0 is all you need to know.

Against teams that some of our High school teams would hang with. I am happy that they do well in their conference, really. I am happy that they win their games.......great. But I dont wanna see them creeping into the top 10 until they play somebody. Didnt impress me at all last night.

They are the WAC, it's not like they get a chance at five-star recruits. Give them at least the credit they deserve, they dominate their conference. I am not saying the guy should win awards, I am saying they do what needs to be done to win, just like we did in 2002.
They are doing what they need to win, but they're not exactly dominant. Last year, Boise St won 9 of their 12 games prior to the Fiesta Bowl by double-digits. In 2004, Utah beat every single opponent they played by two TDs or more.

Hawaii is a good squad, but they're not getting a BCS bowl. They're living on the edge with San Jose St and Louisiana Tech ... somebody will bite them in the end, either Boise St or Washington, or both.

HailToMichigan,

you made a mistake.

Colorado does NOT play Texas Tech in Boulder; that was last year.

This year, the Buffaloes travel to Lubbock.

As for those opponents you mentioned...

Texas- If they allow 41 points to K-State at home, how will they fare against Texas Tech?

Oklahoma- They have to go to Lubbock- The Sooners are hardly invincible on the road.

Sam Bradford? He's playing well, but no freshman QB can take a team to the BCS!

Mea culpa on the Colorado thing. Um, can I get away with saying it was late?

Still....you're right, they're all winnable games (that's why I say they do have a shot), but they have to win all of them, because I don't think 2 losses will get it done. At some point I think their defense will eventually fail them.
