Northwestern (not Purdue) and Michigan State played here in 2004. They both jumped out to 21-0 leads only to fold from the 2nd quarter on, and ending up losing close in high-scoring games. I don't recall too much bad officiating. The big problem was they both came way out here aftwer grueling Big Ten schedules and played in games that had midnight kickoffs for their body clocks. It's simply too far for Big Ten teams to play...

College football roundup: Hawaii's Brennan sets record for TD passes

No. 14 Hawaii 39, No. 17 Boise State 27 -- Colt Brennan broke the major college career record for touchdown passes last night, throwing five touchdowns for Hawaii in a Western Athletic Conference victory over Boise State in Honolulu.

Brennan, who was 40 of 53 for 496 yards, threw the record-breaking No. 122 in the first quarter, a 6-yard out to Ryan Grice-Mullen. That surpassed the mark set by former Brigham Young standout Ty Detmer in 1991. With the pass, Brennan also broke Detmer's record for most touchdowns responsible for with 136.
