Twice-once I was bitten in the face by our dog when I was 10 or so-Sascha got put down real quick-the couple of stitches were just to prevent a scar-I didn't need anything major. Second, I was lifting an air hammer off of a sign post, and I dropped it on my arm, cutting myself and requiring stitches.

When I was 15, we were constructing a metal grain bin on the farm. I slipped off a ladder and my arm came down on one of the edges of the sheet metal being used. It made a nice, clean cut about 3" long into the flesh around my left elbow. Had to get stitches and still have marks from the cut.

I'll give you credit only if you had them removed without any medication.

I did have medication but I'm one of the few people who had them removed without being put under.

I received 24 numbing shots in my mouth while they drilled a hole in the side of my gums, cut the tooth off of the bone, and pulled it out the hole and then sewed the hole up. Had all 4 teeth done at once.

The oral surgeon told me to listen to a walkman during the extraction so I wouldn't hear the drilling and tearing flesh but I still did. Also seeing his blood covered hands wasn't very pleasant either.

Oh, and I played roller derby after.

BinMich.. what a wuss.. can't believe you're "giving credit" for wisdom teeth stitches.. you giving credit if folks needed two band-aids instead of stitches? don't you have a city to run?

Oh, I did not give him credit since he had to be medicated. Had he done the work himself I would have let it slide. Rolling around on ice-skates afterwards does not count for being a tough guy.

Nice work.

I've had 17 stiches to my right cheek, right underneath my eye. Got hit by a fist with a chain wrapped around it. Punk Bitch. Anyway, should've had stitches a few other times, but didn't. I got a nice scar on my right inside forearm from installing razor wire on top of the Licking Co. Jail.

That was a night...about 10 guys chasing you, with me taking out a few....

Those were the days Dick.

Had one of those rocking horses (one of the ones with the springs on all four corners) as a small kid. At 5 I flew off and got 5 stitches in the back of my head, and at 6 I flew off and got 6 stitches in my forehead. I distinctly remember the second time, because they used alcohol to clean it out, and I asked if they were done, and the bastard Dr said "Yes, just about" then started to stitch me up.
More recently, I got some stitches in my hand from the manly act of doing dishes - a glass broke while I was cleaning it.
the last stitches I got was from getting clocked in the back of the head by a guy swinging a brick in a towel like a slingshot. Bastards car-jacked me at 5 A.M. Good thing I had a wife and kids to think about, though, or I would have either killed someone or got myself killed. you'll forgive me if I don't show too much sympathy for gangs.
