Have You Ever Had Stitches?

My three year old ended up getting five staples in the back of his head this weekend. I've never had stitches and when I tell people such they never believe me.

Dunno BinMich.. taking a staple gun to your three year old's head sounds pretty mean.. I know you want to toughen him up.. but come on

As far as you never having stitches as a kid.. WHAT A WUSS !!!

I had stiches when I was about 1 year old, give or take a few months. Does that count?

I have had my appendix out but those were "glued" back together. I had stiches in the back of my ankle.

My five year old put his tooth through his lip about a year ago. 3 stitches right along his upper lip.

I think it is the hardest thing to watch or have to hold down your own child while the doctors are fixing him up. My son was strapped down to a backboard that you see football players strapped to. They had to do this so he didn't try to shove them away. I still had to help them hold his head still while he was screaming his lungs out. :(

I fell out of a tree house when I was a kid and had to get stitches to fix the cut. They glued me back together for all of the surgeries that I've had.

Ive had 3 under my eye because a fucker threw a rock at me in 1st grade, and 30 on my knee.

My oldest, was playing with the dog, fell down and the dog ran him over. 5 stitches to the eyelid (yes the freaking eyelid). Not so much as a wimper, total trooper, now if I could just get him to quit crying when I tell him he has to clean the living room. :-\

I have has stitches/staples multiple times.

I've used up a couple spools of thread in my days... and all three of my kids have had stitches... my wife bailed from the hopsital rooms on the last two.. and B4me is right on.. it's friggin rough watching them sew up your kids.. but you gotta pretend you're tuff.. for the kids sake

my daughter was tougher than steel when she had her stitches.. I was sooooo impressed... she never made a sound... and they bent a needle in her skull giving her the anesthetic

Just a few months ago, I cut my left forearm and recived 7 staples to close it up...

But the cool thing is I have this huge scar now, and I just tell the ladies I got cut in a bar fight.

Only 2 stitches ever, right in the spot my middle-fingernail should have been: the nail grew back all lumpy and uneven, but it's pretty normal again now.

once above my eye. My brother is the accident prone one. He got stitches above his left eye ( I threw him into a book shelf) above his right eye ( got hit by a baseball bat playing baseball, his chin ( fell of a slide at school) his knee ( was playing chicken on bike with he buddies and the chain cover sliced his knee open) and his leg ( attacked by the neighbors dog) plus a bunch of concussions. It was a joke about his yearly accident growing up as a kid. It we were kids these days they would probally have social workers asking all sorts of questions :) even though none of it was my parents fault.

I had never had stitches until about 5 years ago when living in Tucson. I had a run-in with a mesquite tree while running in the dark and had about 10 stitches right below my lip.

Don't ask why I was running in the dark! I'm an idiot.

I spent half of my childhood in stitches. On the plus side, I've never broken a bone except a slight fracture of my wrist when I was seven.
