Unless it's a sporting event I rarely watch it live. The only thing that actually screws me up is when I will pause during a sporting event then get a call from someone telling me how awesome that game was while I am still in the Third Quarter :p

I break sporting events into 3 categories:

1. REALLY into it. Those I let the dvr get ahead by about 15 minutes, then watch commercial free. Pretty much just a Buckeye game or bowl game.

2. Sort of into it. Good Big 10 or SEC game. Use the remote to jump from snap to snap.

3. Just gimme the year in pictures. Use remote to jump from score to score. Pac 10, Big 12, ACC, Notre Dame, etc.
