Harvard of the Midwest (split from recruiting)

In university circles, the moniker "Harvard of the midwest" is associated with....

Washington University in St. Louis-- an Ivy League reputation and an endowment portfolio larger than ND, in excess of a billion dollars.

You know you're at a prestigious university when the football team stays clean on Halloween and the coach gets the DUI leaving a party. :wink2:
LOL -Brings to mind the famed University of Wolla-Malloo

I keep getting told by someone that Grand Valley State University in MI is the Harvard of the midwest. He is half a foot taller and 100 pounsd heavier than me so I let it go.

I've heard people call Kent State the Berkley of the east, but it has nothing to do with academics.

I've always heard Northwestern was the Stanford of the Midwest, but that Miami was the Harvard of the Midwest.

Michigan, on the other hand, is the shit-stain of the Midwest.
