It's more of a change with my health than improvement as the result of care. My immune system is attacking different systems (my airways and lungs seem to be less constantly involved, for example) which has (of course) changed the way I'm affected by all of it. It's both a good and a bad thing (good in the sense that I'm a little more comfortable and situationally of limited mobility, bad in the sense that it's a progression that other similarly affected veterans have followed), but I'll take that trade every day of the week. There's no doubt in my mind, however, that being a little more secure, stable, and stress-free has made a positive difference as well.
