Have a great Independence Day, everyone! It's humbling to think back on the origins of our great nation, and the brave patriots (then and since) who have fought to allow us to enjoy its fruits.

A special salute to Delta Battery, First Battalion Fifth Field Artillery, currently deployed in Afghanistan. First of the Fifth, Alexander Hamilton's Cannoneers, holds the distinction of being the oldest unit in the American military having been on active duty continuously since 1775!
