I'm thinking of buying the books in the iTunes store and start reading...can someone post the order of the books?

Thanks!

ok..you can go one of two ways...order they were released or by timeperiod

I suggest when they were released...I'll give you the timeperiod they were in as well...

Fall of Reach - Before Halo 1
*Skip the flood* - basically just a written version of Halo 1
First Strike - time between H1 and H2
Ghosts of Oynx - During H3
Contact Harvest - before Fall of Reach, first encounter with Covenant

Then the newer ones:
Cyptum and Primordium...part of a trilogy that goes over the forerunner history which is thousands of years before Halo 1

Glasslands and Thursday War - Sequal to Ghosts of Oynx, takes place right after H3

If you're trying to narrow it down..read Fall of Reach, First Strike, Oynx, Cryptum and Primordium

I'm thinking I want to read all of them (eventually). And I kind of what to go in sequence of like the games, although sounds like we're kind of getting into the stuff that happened before the 1st Halo. I hate it when that happens

Well, the entire plot for H4 is forerunner focused...so if you wanna get a jump of that you can read Crytpum and Primordium first

but like i said, you should prob start with Fall of Reach (you learn how MC became MC), it's a freakin great book

I was happy to see them actually gives us a good look at an Elite, i was thinking they might avoid this because of special effect and budget limitations. Also, some are saying that in the 15 min., as the credits and flashes for next week, we see a reflection of a Hunter in MC visor. I'm not sure if it's a Hunter or another Spartan. MachinimaPrime also responded to one of the post for more MC action by saying that next week's episode would blow his fragile mind.

The only thing that really bugged me about this episode was actually John-117....he was NOT Master Chief at this time, he's only 14 or 15, can't remember which. He doesn't become Master Chief for another 9 years I believe

He had a goal!!!:) Yeah, not sure about that. But, one thing that they did explain, that i liked, was the decision to use a different voice. One that was very similar but younger and softer. They went on to expalin that this choice was in direct line with Spartan 117 not being that battle hardened soldier that has weathered the storms, which we are so familiar with from the game time frames.

I'm also wondering if we will see other spartans in the last episode. I was reading somewhere on the web and this kid made an interesting point. That being any spartan is currently available for action in FUD. I'm thinking George may be there or maybee even..... you..... the spartan 6 replacement who is introduced to us (and who we play as) in Halo Reach.
