I honestly don't know enough about all the different types of ranking systems out there...but I hope there's a way they can have the 1-50 and it's not only based off wins, but K/D ratio, etc.

Like If I go +10 against guys ranked a bit lower than me, that won't carry as much weight as going +3 against guys who are ranked higher than me

I was watching a youtube video recently and I agree with the guy who made it that the new of ranking will work much like the one currently running on the Halo Waypoint tracking feature that governs your stats on Reach. This program runs on both android and apple products and its actually a nice little program. Basically its a mobil waypoint. But they give you a ranking on a 1 to 100 rating. It takes into account kills, assists, deaths, and betrails. I would think that by the time Halo 4 comes out they will have adjusted for skill of compatition (like you mentioned), score to win, etc, etc.

I am now wondering if they will have a ranked playlist, like arena, or if they will only have social playlists but every playlist listing this value as a value of rank per gametype. I hope not, but...

Example: my team slayer rating may be 45 but I could play at a 50 in team doubles and objective.

There used to be an awesome webpage called Halocharts.com sadly he had to take it down. It tracked everything you did and who you did it against. Using this information it may you a rank in every playlist, ranked or not. I loved to follow this and it allowed you to see if you were getting better.

More for the Halo fans but 343 did a nice podcast and they go into great detail on many topics and they address some of the topics and rumors that rose up after the May Game Informer article. Good stuff if you enjoy topics about maps, weapon balance, armor abilities, among other topics. Search "343 Sparkcast" on iTunes if you are interested.

Think I may have to pick this up due to the lack of other games that spark my interest.

Here soon, I'll be confined to FIFA every year, Halo whenever it comes out, GTA (I'll always be loyal to GTA, good game or bad game).

I'm done with the Call of Duty series until Infinity Ward gets reigns of the franchise, and their first order of business is dropping Treyarch's sorry asses.

We have owned many of the same games at the same time, but I'm pretty sure never once played on live together

I can almost guarantee I'll own this when it is released.

http://blogs.mercurynews.com/aei/20...player-details-and-limited-edition-announced/

Read the entire article. The first part is largely repeated info but the last part talks about the limited edition and what comes in it. Alas, it looks like I will be spending 100 bucks on this. I find it a little disappointing if you get more "in game" abilities, etc., even if only in match making, if you are willing to pay more. I would not be surprised if this is untrue or out of context.

From article:

THE BIG VERSION: Lastly, Microsoft revealed the Halo 4 Limited Edition details. It will include War Games Map Pack Access that contains nine maps. Some will be needed to be downloaded in the future. It will give early access to six Specializations. I?m iffy on this because it could upset the competitive balance, giving those who plunked $99 an advantage. There will also be a UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet, which sounds like a physical extra complete with armor customization schematic and the ship?s blueprint.
Along with that are several downloadable items, including an avatar prop and armor set and in-game Spartan-IV armor skin. The final extra is a Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn movie. It?s actually an extended version of the live-action digital series that?s coming in the October to Machinima?s channel and Halo Waypoint. It offers the backstory to Halo 4.
