Are we the only ones who care?

The HoF is almost a pastime, but no one seems to mind it getting watered down,

I see it as todays society saying " Awe, all ball players are special in their own unique ways and everyone should atleast get into tho the smiley face-happy clown-room of the HoF. "

I want want big stats, and big physical men. Orlando Pace is what I am talking about, a man amongst little men in all levels of his career... now will HE get in?

You dont think O has had a "Fame" worthy pro career? He has been the abover average player that everyone seems to let in now-a-days.

Or is it the no lineman bias, I am still for Ray Guy the punter getting in, let-alone a lineman too!

You didn't ask whether he derserved it, you asked if he'd get in...and no, I don't think he will. He's a good pro lineman, but not nearly as dominant as he was in college, and he's had some injury issues. More tackles are starting to get in nowadays, but guys like Walter Jones and Jonathan Ogden will probably go before Pace, right or not. Still, there is a possibility he will get in...it will really depend on how the media at the time of the voting views tackles, and their contribution to the game.

I don't think that there are too many inductees. I think that they are the wrong inductees. If you're only going to let QBs, RBs, and WRs in The Hall, then you don't need to let someone in every year. There are zero punters. Even though everyone with half a brain knows how important field position is to a team. There are very few kickers, or linemen of any kind. I think that there are enough great players to have people inducted every year...they're just inducting the wrong players.

I think that the same case can be made for baseball. How many career relief pitchers are there? Defensive shortstops? Catchers?

Too many mediocre players from the glamour positions, and not enough great players from other very important positions.
