please define "rack"....

if "rack" is being on the military press (as this convo is about) reclined at the desired angle and having 3-4 "racks" to move the bar into position when one is "spent"....then anyone who questions this move has never seen a trap on their own body.

if my contribution on this matter/post is not relevant...please forgive me...because it is very difficult for me to read through this drivel from a group of internet posters who have no idea what they are talking about regarding weight lifting.....

of those on this thread...how many of you seriously have ever lifted?

this is an example of one. the safety bars obviously come down but the adjustable black racks are adjustable to wherever you desire. you pick the bar up from wherever you choose and do your military press.

I've seriously lifted... But, I don't stay serious all the time... as 20,000 of my posts attest.

Never...ever. In fact, we make our players sign an oath to NEVER touch a weight. We just take vitamins and meditate.

Besides, military press is on its way to extinction...at least until the next great revelation/recycling in athletic performance training.

I didn't realize moving away from a falling weight was a function of logical processes. Here I thought it would be more akin to instinct... or as they say "just reacting"

ding....ding...ding....been there...done that.... when it is letting go...it is letting go....period.

but, if you are working on a piece of equipment with a "rack" or "stay"...it is easy (well...somewhat easy) to place the bar back when you are bonked...

long and short of this drivel....if you are working with a trying weight...have a spotter or use a bench with a rack...otherwise you will end up a pet peeve in some message boards inane thread...
