if using a rack is what you're going to consider as your "style," your style sucks. how far above your head do you have that rack when you're performing the military press? if that rack is somewhere above the top of your neck (or even your chin) when you're doing front presses or above the midpoint of your head when doing presses behind your head, you have a poorly positioned rack.

again, if this is your "style," it sucks. go find someone who knows what he's doing. you obviously don't. oh yeah, are you still confused about what a barbell is?

you take the bar off the rack genius. its no different then when you take a bar off of a rack when you bench.

You're changing the parameters, buddy. How many time have you asked for a spot while you were in the middle of dropping weight on your head? Slappy indeed.

how am i changing my parameters? like i said, a logical person can infer what will happen if they do not get the weight up or need assistance with it..........hence a spotter. you don't instinctually call for a spotter my friend. you know the possible consequences of your actions by using true and logical premises and understanding what possible conclusion could come out of them SO THAT WHEN THEY DO, you know the course of procedure for what to do.

Jeff, no offense bro...but I've seen your picture. You have an abnormally large skull...

Also, at your stated height of 5'7, you likely have short arms....

Short arms...large skull...military press...

Recipe for disaster imo.

Anyway...

Just sayin..

i do actually have a big melon head in all reality.

Because Jeff, when I've been discussing this, I've always been discussing it from the position of the act occurring real time.... you move away from falling weight by instinct, not logic. YOu ask for a spot before hand by reason, but that happens before the weight falls.... follow along. Or.. just read for once.

Jeff, all I'm saying is don't get pissy with me because you don't know what words mean or how to follow the limited parameters of a discussion.

:slappy: look at the title of this topic and look at what we are discussing, yet you have the will to follow the limited parameters of the discussion. and i in no way changed the parameters. if weight is falling spotters are there to help. instinct doesn't tell you to have a spotter, logic does.

wow no crap genius, but having a spotter facilitates my point that you use logic to understand the consequences of your action. if you have a spotter he helps you as your course of action. if you don't have a spotter you move out of the way as your course of action.
