Neat breakdown at ESPN.

Gutsiest BCS teams - that is, the ones whose nonconference schedule has the largest percentage of other BCS teams:

1. Florida State
2. USC
3. Georgia Tech
4. UCLA
5. North Carolina
6. Michigan State
7. Iowa
8. Miami
9. Clemson, Duke, Penn State, Syracuse, Virginia

Yay ACC - 7 teams on the list, 6 of them pre-expansion teams. Full disclosure though. Most ACC schools have their biggest rivalries outside the conference: Clemson/South Carolina, GT/UGA, Md./WVU (though they don't appear here) and it was even more so before the expansion: Miami/FSU, FSU/UF, UVA/VT. Duke is busy being some other team's cupcake. Still, you don't get on this list with one game a year - off the top of my head I can remember UVA games against Penn State, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Syracuse, and Connecticut. (Before this year, so USC doesn't count.) I imagine Temple also counts in our favor even though nine of our fans went to the game in Philly with SCRIMMAGE spelled across their chests.

And the biggest babies - the ones who have the cupcakiest schedules:

1. Minnesota
2. Kansas
3. Arkansas
4. Mississippi
5. Oklahoma State
6. Oregon State
7. Texas Tech
8. LSU
9. Mississippi State
10. Alabama

Hey, what do you know. Almost half the SEC is on the list.

Here's the full breakdown.

Michigan is the first team off the "gutsy" list, ranked #14. OSU is 23rd.

I think it's funny to read the comments on the biggest pussys article, it's all SEC saying that everyone is afraid to play them so they have to schedule cupcakes.
Im sure they SEC would be more than willing to play other BCS teams .... as long as they dont have to leave the south. As much as I hate Fat Fillmore, Tennessee is the only SEC school that seems to be willing to play away games either out west, or up north.

One thing to keep in mind here, however, is that in this breakdown you get just as much credit for playing Duke and Syracuse as you do USC and Texas, when clearly there is a monumental difference in those two sets of teams.

Tennessee's fans are the only SEC fans I can tolerate. I've run into a few before and they are generally very supportive of tOSU and they HATE their conference foes (especially Florida).

Pfeh. Tennessee has some of the absolute worst fans IMO. Easily my least favorite SEC team.
