Greetings, I hate scUM and other random stuff

Hi guys, just stumbled on this website a couple days ago, Im so excited, a place to go to talk Buckeye football!! Thought I would introduce myself and give a little background since Im not a typical tOSU fan. I live in Texas....too damn close to Austin for my own comfort, I despise UT...OU...well pretty much the entire Big 12. Of course I take every oppurtunity to tell these people down here how much I hate thier team and conference...and of course they dont take to well to it, but oh well, its all in the name of fun. My very best friend is a huge tOSU fan which is where I "discovered" out beloved Buckeyes, however, one of my other very very good friends is a scUM fan....not to mention a Redskin fan while Im a Cowboy fan, so I get to spend a large portion of my time arguing sports and talking trash to a Michigan fans face...lots of fun....till he throws the Cowgirls in my face. Ohio State is pretty hated down here, I really have no idea why, considering this year was the first time we played. But, its like clockwork, I mention the Buckeyes and I get ribbed immedeatly "haha, we beat ya'll" "what is a Buckeye anyway" "nice catch by that TE!!" you know the usual.

So, Im basically wondering if anyone knew where that hatred came from? I gained some respect for Texas during that game, and as good of a game as it was I would have thought that respect would have been returned.

ok, Im done, I dont typically post very much on message boards, but I will certainly be checking this site everyday. You gusy keep up the great Buckeye talk!!
 
I'd guess some of 'em wouldn't think highly of us because of allegations of poor fan treatment at OSU that spread on Texas message boards. In hindsight most of what was said really didn't happen (I was there, nothing crazy happened, just what usually happens when OSU loses a huge game in the last minutes...fans are pissed, who wouldn't be?). Talking with some Texas fans at the game, I got the impression that games in Austin are a more civil affair than in Columbus. No one here will deny that our games can get crazy...and let's face it, on game day, strolling up and down High and Lane, it's not exactly the most family friendly place in the world. But that's the nature of Ohio State football.

Ok, to some extent i agree that UT fans might be a little jealous of tOSU during the late 80 and most of the 90s. I think it has more to do with the media attention y'all receive. we would almost see just as many of your games as we would see of ours...And as you know, most Texans are very proud of our state and all things Texas so, I guess yeah, there could be a little bitterness there?

I can only speak for myself, but personally I never really cared for tOSU till this year. I like many UT fans have a very healthy respect for the Buckeyes, and a lot of us have found ourselves pulling and cheering for y'all. I never thought I would say this but, I'm a Buckeye fan now!

And honestly, I think its the same for tOSU fans as well.

But...

I will slam my dick in a car door before I ever become a ND fan!

How do the Aggies feel about hiring the worst DC in UT history?? I think Fran is trying his hardest to get fired!

Anyhow, I use to hate ATM! I mean I hated them with a passion! But as I've gotten older I just hate them as far as their play in the BIG XII South is concerned. I usually pull for them during their bowl games.

I don't know much about the Texas A&M Football program. My spouse is the Aggie fan. She has taught me to dislike UT. Just like I've taught she to dislike scUM. We go to games at Kyle field, Reggie McNeal is their best player!
