Nice, solid pickup for the Packers, who under Ted Thompson typically haven't delved into free agency. This will at least tide us over until we find a long-term replacement for Scott Wells.

Great pickup for GB!

The Packers announced today they will be releasing left tackle and 12-year vet Chad Clifton. A total class act and he will be sorely missed. Thanks for the years, Chad.

It wont be the same without him but such is life. Thanks for the memories Chad!!!

Packers took Nick Perry out of USC with the 28th overall pick. I was kind of hoping for Upshaw here, but apparently they know something we don't, as he fell completely out of the first round.

I like the Perry pick but wouldnt have been upset with Upshaw. It is interesting he didnt go in rd. 1.

I was wanting Upshaw, too. I am cool with Perry, though. He will be a good one. I hope Devon Still falls to us in the second round. He'd be good as a 5 tech in the 3-4, beside Raji...

Yep, the only knock on him is durability. Let?s hope those injuries were just freak accidents. He could be a starter for a long time.

What do u think of the cb we took in the 3rd? I like that one of his strengths is his ball skills.

I don’t really know a whole lot about him, but I know that from the film they were showing on him, he looks really solid.

I like his aggressiveness better than Sam Shields. It could also give Charles Woodson a chance to play more Nickel and Safety. Dom Capers likes being creative with Woodson.
