Greatest Sega game ever

I liked the John Madden Sports Talk Football. We used to play 2 players vs. the computer. I don't think we ever made an extra point, because the one guy would ALWAYS be the center, and rather than block for the kick, he'd run backward and let the kick hit him in the back of the head. The announcer never seemed to think that it was an interesting play, though, other than just saying that the extra point try was missed.

Yes Joe Montana Sports Talk Football was a classic, along with Mutant League Football, Tom Jam and Earl, NHL Hockey '93 or '94 and the less heard of Centurion: Defender of Rome (chariot races were great because if you wrecked the guys with the stretcher would randomly throw your corpse on the other side of the stretcher then take off).

The ambulance in Madden '93 was hilarious. Lots of good memories from the Genesis days.

I always loved the Madden games for the Genesis. My friends and I would always have tournaments. Back with the old Madden 92 and Madden 93, you never punted or kicked field goals. When you played against the system you always onside kicked kickoffs to see if you could score over 100 points and allow them to score 0. I remember too with Madden 92 Earnest Byner was such a stud for the Redskins. He could outrun and outspin any tackler.

The other game I really liked for Genesis and still play to this day is NBA Jams. I loved using it with the Power Up Dunks. Or using the cheat codes to get players like Bill Clinton or the Big Heads.

I never played Madden on the genisis until the last 5 years or so. It is really fun to play though because I had forgotten some of the really good players that played for certain teams. With the way team rosters change I find it funny to go back and play madden when players like junior seau was still a charger etc.
I can't believe I forgot NBA Jam...that game was flippin sweet. Nothing like playing NBA Jam with players like Bill Clinton. :banger:

I can't be beat at NBA Jam. I can block most dunks and any jump shot you take.

i had the codes to be bill clinton, air bud, and some others i can't remember. i loved that game, but i didn't include it becuase i wasn't sure if it was exclusive to sega. "He's on fire!"

"The Nail In the Coffin!!!" Was may favorite.

What always pissed me off is that if you were playing against the computer and they threw up a desperation shot at the end of the half or the end of the game they would always make it. You had to run your guy back to where you thought was by the basket and try to block it.

Al Gore was NET
Bill Clinton was ARK

Thanks a lot BUCKYLE saves me from looking them up. Appreciate the help. Computer assistance was stupid but let's face it some of today's game machines computer intelligence isn't very bright. I can still do the same plays over and over again against the computer in College football NCAA 2007.

Yeah I always hated that too. But if you should the ball at the end of the half it rarely ever went in. Total crap. Oh well, then there was college slam which was very similar to NBA Jam. I loved college slam because I'd always take OSU to win the championship. Really awesome game. GO BUCKS!

Nah on Madden you'd play with the Bills and do the HB Toss and Pass with Thurman Thomas

He couldn't be tackled either

As far as sports games go College football 96' is pretty good. Also since we are all on sega games does anyone remember the game Shaq fu? I used to play it quite a bit and the game came with Shaq's one rap single called "Shaq Diesel"... I still remember rapping along to the lame lyrics while I played the game. Infact its kind of embarassing now that I think of it. :slappy:
