Anything Sega Master System. Did anyone else use this?
games like Golden Axe, Outrun, Gangster Town.
I had a Master System. Played the heck out of it too. I remember Hang On, Alex Kidd and the Pro Wrestling game getting the most play.

Oh ... oh ... Mister Kotter! Mister Kotter!

Choplifter kicked ass. Can't believe I almost forgot that one.

I always loved the Madden games for the Genesis. My friends and I would always have tournaments. Back with the old Madden 92 and Madden 93, you never punted or kicked field goals. When you played against the system you always onside kicked kickoffs to see if you could score over 100 points and allow them to score 0. I remember too with Madden 92 Earnest Byner was such a stud for the Redskins. He could outrun and outspin any tackler.

The other game I really liked for Genesis and still play to this day is NBA Jams. I loved using it with the Power Up Dunks. Or using the cheat codes to get players like Bill Clinton or the Big Heads.

I liked the John Madden Sports Talk Football. We used to play 2 players vs. the computer. I don't think we ever made an extra point, because the one guy would ALWAYS be the center, and rather than block for the kick, he'd run backward and let the kick hit him in the back of the head. The announcer never seemed to think that it was an interesting play, though, other than just saying that the extra point try was missed.

I also seem to remember a play that was supposed to be a running play, but we'd have the running back take off downfield. Then you press the button to pitch it, and the quarterback would "pitch" it like a lazer-beam forward, through all defensive players in the way, and the running back would catch it. Every time. Hilarious.

A couple of years later there was a similar-looking game for college football. It might have been Bill Walsh. But maybe not. Anyway, I'd play a whole season (With the Buckeyes, of course). After winning the first few games a bunch to barely anything, I'd get kinda bored. So to speed the game along, I'd run a pitch-out, get around the defense, and rather than scoring the touchdown, I'd cut back across the field to the other sideline, then turn the wrong way, and head back toward the wrong endzone. I'd circle the field a few times, until the quarter was over, and then score the touchdown. It made games go a lot faster. Also, I'd always be Mike Vrabel. He was always #2 in the country in sacks. #1 was always Matt Finkes. I think the quarterback would see Vrabel coming, and he'd turn to run, but run right into Finkes. Then I'd say, "Take that, Space Coyote!"
