Good point, he's way before my time so that's why he was omitted. If a mod would like to add Otto Graham to the poll that would be fine by me.

Just added him. I honestly think it too difficult say who was the greatest of all time because of the difference in the way the game was played in different eras... who's to say a player like Unitas wouldn't be 10 times better if he played today.

When you take his whole career, what he meant to a team, his stats, and also what he accomplished as far as championships and wins...you gotta go with Joe Montana. If it weren't for team accomplishments, I'd go with Dan Marino, but I think as a QB, team accomplishments are HUGE! That's why I think Craig Krenzel is the best QB Ohio State has had in my lifetime, because not only was he consistant and good, he led the team to a National Championship, and stepped up when we needed him to.)

Exactly why I picked Dan Marino. Without Dan the Dolphins would have only had mediocre to bad teams, the 49ers still would have been good. Put Dan on that 49ers team or the Cowboys of the 90's with their running games and defense and there would never be any debate over the greatest of all time!

Dan Marino. As much as I hate the Dolphins (being a native Floridian), I have to say that what he accomplished year in year out with virtually no running game to support him most of the time was remarkable.

Having guys like Duper and Clayton didn't hurt. But they only had 5 years (if memory serves) with a 1,000 yard rusher in all the years he played.

Never really liked him, but just like Paul McCartney (whom I also despise), I gotta give credit where credit is due.
