Wow. The debates start.

Doss vs. Cris Carter... we talking just OSU college career or college AND pro career combined?

Bellisari the greatest #8 ever?? I would never put the words ' Steve Bellisari' with 'Greatest Buckeye Ever'

---------
I am by NO MEANS blasting ya msj, but I feel there's some debate there

I was thinking just college careers, however if enough people think pro careers should be averaged in then that is fine and I'd personally put Carter over Doss then. Also, as for Bellisari, I have to agree with that, but it was just sooooo hard to say that someone else should be above him, as statistically Bellisari was like the 5th or 6th best quarterback at tOSU, its just his record proves otherwise. But Rod Gerald, Stanley Jackson, Drew Carter? Neither ever really completed one season as a starter wearing #8...

Good topic. I agree with making it college career only.

I actually agree with Doss (3-time All-American) over Carter (which could have flipped to Carter if he had played 1 more year).

But I prefer Corny Greene over Joe Germaine for the #7. Greene won that Big-10 MVP in 1975, the year that Archie won the second Heisman. He also led the undefeated team in 1973, which only had the 10-10 tie in AA (in the game where he couldn't throw a pass because of a fractured thumb).

The #10 is a close call between Schlichter and Kern. Hopefully Troy Smith can end that debate this year.

Totally agree with BB73 on the Corny Greene over Germaine at #7.

Corny was overshadowed by so many great Buckeye players during his time here, namely Archie, and yet still won the Big Ten MVP over Arch. He was a unique talent and a great field general of the offense that he was in charge of.

I would take Bobby Olive for #8 because of his game winning catches against LSU and Iowa in 1988 and 1990, respectively. Olive also has decent career numbers. I really don't have any good memories for Bellisari or Jackson except for maybe Jackson playing great the first 3 or 4 games of 1996.

Did I miss Santonio Holmes (#4)?
Yes sir you did!
Although the listed stats are a bit light on him...
Ya all the current and recently graduated bucks won't have any stats on them because I don't have this years media guide, which is where I'm getting my information, but once I do, I'll make sure to update everything. Also thanks for the props! Hopefully tomorrow when more people get to see these threads we'll get some more feedback.

I'll post the #'s 21-30 @ 12:00pm tomorrow and continue to add the sets at that time every day until the season's start or at least very close to it.

Also I'll start taking the changes into consideration once more people have the chance to voice their opinions, maybe set up a gigantic poll or something later as well... who knows, but for now it's just getting the information all together.
