I agree for the most part. My problem, I guess, is that any new posters shouldn't have to be treated with kid gloves in hopes they stick around. One of the great things about this forum, at least to me, is the irreverant nature of A LOT of posters. I don't want to have to lower my voice just because someone is a fan of another team. I've seen High Lonesome, G-Force, and quite a few others take some pretty good shots from some posters, and roll with the punches just like the rest of us are expected to do. I guess my point is, I don't want someone on BP just because they are a fan of another team. It's fine if they do, but I don't think I want to be any nicer to them than I am a n00b Buckeye fan, simply because they like _______. If that's a problem, fine, I'll keep my nose out of the tourney threads. No biggie.

no i agree you can fire away. but the (blank team) sucks. smack talk stuff is what im saying. and essentially throwing gasoline around is not a good idea. talk about basketball, strategy, etc is i think what makes this place great. coming in and telling someone thier team is a worthless pos is not productive. now sharing they have one guy over six seven and three guys over six four is a good relevant talk. and when im talking im not really aiming at you. its a general blanket statement. and that being said rarely if ever is something you say offensive...
