It's not exactly a compliment to them I don't think.

It could also be a motivational tactic swing and miss for the ages. You aren't really threating anyone's playing time/getting them to raise their game if you bring in "competition" that they know they could beat out on their worst day.

fascinating situation all the way around (and by "fascinating" I mean it's going to be fun to laugh at Florida for a while)
