So, who had snow with these recent storms? We had about a foot of snow today. Most of it came in the early morning hours and the local sheriff's department put out a "stay off the roads" announcement about 7 this morning. Glad is was a Saturday instead of a workday.

Also about a foot, but that's not much of a surprise as I'm not all that far from BuckinMI.

It was pretty funny though... damn snow drifted up over the bumpers of my car. Was not exactly easy to get in to school today.

Like daddyphatsacs, who apparently is something of a neighbor of mine, the "storm of the century" has dropped an unwieldly 2 or 3 inches. Which, by the way, my wife also said that's the first time in a long while that she's got that many inches at once.

We've got about 8 inches tonight so far -- it comes up to my golden retriever's belly. We're supposed to get close to 3 feet when it's all said and done. There are even hurricane warnings on the Cape, since the winds are so strong!

sushi,

doesn't there actually have to be a hurricane in the vicinity to issue a hurricane warning?

Anyway, up here in the NEO corner we got about 6 inches of snow by early afternoon. Snow blower took that out. As I type at midnite there are about 7-8 more in the driveway. Drifts were the worst, probably approaching 4 feet in some areas around the yard. Had the day off of work, and gladly so.

sorry guys... 60 degrees here now at midnight :). I don't miss snow storms. Talked to a friend of mine in Connecticut and they already had about 9 or 10 inches.... the mother in law is in Cleveland and they are getting pretty good tonight too.

Woody,

That's what I thought as well, but on the news they showed the hurricane warning flags flying. They're calling it a "Winta-cane," if there's even such a term.

Just got in from taking the dog outside. He had to dig himself a hole just to take a crap! It was hilarious. It's so brutal out there -- don't think I've been in that bad of a storm. In some places the snow was up to my thigh, and it's only getting started.
