Looks like this image was taken recently.....

Actually, it was taken a few years ago. When I first installed Google Earth, I located a bunch of the more famous football stadiums, and the Rose Bowl was painted up like that at that time.

Shame you have to have IE 6 or 7 running to get the most intriguing part of their offering - a 3D view. Looks just like Yahoo Maps right now and lacks crispness of the Google satellite photos.

Well I don't know, in most of the places I searched (my house included) the images, I thought were really good.

Anyone tried google streetview in the maps section yet? Very cool stuff. Looks like they filmed the west portion of lane (near bridge) after a fball game.
