So today is Match Day for all graduating medical students, when they find out whether they got the specialty they wanted, and where they'll be spending the next few years of their lives as residents.
My son calls me today, saying "Hey Dad, I got matched in radiology (which he wanted) at a fine hospital associated with an excellent University."
Yep, my son will be a medical resident at the University Hospital in Ann Arbor.
I told him I was extremely happy for him.
It's easier for me to take, since he'll be getting paid by them, as opposed to if he were a student there, and the money was going the other way.
