Good news: AG tells crybaby Clarett to take a hike...

lets just agree and say that he obviously made some decisions that have adversly effected his "career", I say career lightly because I think he may have cost himself that a long time ago. I have nothing against him personally, I just did not appreciate the way he represented OSU and the constant urge to be in the spotlight rather than be just part of the team, at times he has acted like a prima dona and now unfortunately due to bad advice it looks like the road to the pros just got that much harder.

The bottom line for me is simple: if Maurice doesn't like his situation he need only look in the mirror to find a scapegoat.

Like a lot of us, I cheered when he scored TDs, but that doesn't give him a lifetime exemption for the consequences of his own choices. He chose to break NCAA rules. He chose to be less-than-honest with the NCAA, the police, and OSU's internal investigators. He chose to challenge the NFL, rather than focus his energies on working toward NCAA reinstatement.

So now he's in a situation where the NFL is not (currently) an option. He's done little to encourage OSU to take a chance, and risk requesting reinstatement for him. His only options are to take his challenge all the way to the Surpreme Court, if possible/necessary, or go to Canada.

That's where he is, and he has no one to blame but himself, and his advisors. It's unfortunate, but it's his own fault. I just hope we aren't having a "whatever happened to Maurice Clarett" discussion a few years from now. That would be a damn shame.

Whenever I feel the slightest inkling to bash on MoC, I envision #13 diving into the end zone in the 2nd OT in the 2003 Fiesta and It all goes away.

Who used who? Who even cares at this point. MoC led us to a title. Archie didn't do that. Eddie didn't do that. Spielman didn't do that. Pace didn't do that. I think the kid just had bad decision makers around him who in the end banged him up the ass. Now, he's the one in limbo as far as his career goes.

Whatever MoC's inentions were from the beginning are moot. "He came, He saw, He conquered." I wish him nothing but the best.

Well said, Dubs and Head. Couldn't agree more.
