Good friends / Ohioans

I know I speak a lot about NYC, which seems necessary as the perspective is so different.

But if you move here, good luck finding friends to help you. In Ohio, everyone would always jump in to help move. It may seem like a silly example, but it relates to the following:

My friend just called. He lives in Atlanta now. He is like a brother to me (and I don't mean that because he is black.). We go back a long time, and both have been independent and away from our families for 15 years or so.

Anyway, he simply said, in a way that only guys can speak to other guys, that I had to get my shit together and he was taking a week or two of vacation in a week, and that he was packing up my things and taking me home. He said I wasn't the Elliot he knew all these years, and I had no choice.

So there it is.

And this is what I love about Ohioans. :)

Yes, I misspelled "Ohioan" in the thread title, and yes, beware, I'm back!
