Ginn's ire growing toward UM

The fall days are getting cooler, but not nearly as chilly as the relationship nowa days between powerful football programs Glenville High and the University of Michigan.
Glenville High head coach Ted Ginn Sr. says Michigan has been actively refusing to recruit Tarblooder players this season and is effectively boycotting the school - even though 8-0 Glenville is the Plain Dealer's No. 1-ranked high school team and has several star players. "Our relationship with Michigan is dead, but [UM head coach] Lloyd Carr is the one who's killed it," Ginn Sr. says. "It's disgraceful."
Mike DeBord, Michigan's special-teams coach and recruiting coordinator, says he can't comment on how the Wolverines recruit here.
One factor that hasn't helped the relationship: Carr's treatment of Wolverines senior Pierre Woods, a former Glenville star. After starting two seasons at outside linebacker for Michigan (and earning All-Big Ten honors last year), Woods has been largely buried by Carr this season: he hasn't started one game for the 4-3 Wolverines and been relegated to backup roles and special-teams work.
