Georgia Bulldogs (2021-2022 National Champions)

In our defense, a lot of us have not.

This is how Georgia fans under 45 used to interact with those who could remember 1980:

Change the Charlie Chaplin to Wally Butts and you've got a winner.

Rivals those early 2000s Canes ones for sure
I was just about to say that, and after looking, they were never THIS deep all at once. Shockey was in his last year when Winslow was a Frosh. Bubba Franks was with Shockey for a year. Kevin Everett played with Greg Olsen for a year also. So they never had more than 2 stars at once. This UGA room is something different

If I had a vote, Georgia would be my top ranked team after week 1. I don't think fsu, lsu, Clemson or GA tech will change that.

They immediately looked like a complete team against good competition. It's hard to know where Oregon and Notre Dame fit into the big picture at this early stage.
Looking at Bama's schedule, I now see why the polls are propping up Arky and Aggy so much. Even with Texas OOC, their schedule is looking pretty soft.
Georgia should be #1 until there's a reason to question it.

Yeah Bama’s schedule is garbage, nothing but teams with name recognition with below average on field product. Arkansas almost lost to an average UC, aTm couldn’t even get a 100yd rusher and Tejas is starting Ewers in his 2nd collegiate game with a below average OL setup to be slaughtered. UGA should be 1, but Saban deserves every benefit of the doubt at this point.
