Not exactly sure why the shift in OL recruiting as of late. Dawgs have always been above average in size and talent in this area but they just continue to focus on getting bigger and bigger

Isn't it not as much of a positive to get OL this tall, like over 6'7? Due to it harder to get lower in leverage

I would have thought that referring to guys that are six and a half feet tall as “shrimps” might have been taken as a hint that I wasn’t entirely serious

But, since you asked; yes, there is a reason that you never see 6’6” guards. Further, I don’t remember ever seeing a 6’11” OL, not even at tackle. It will be interesting to see if he works out
