LSU's worst defensive efforts were not as horrifically lopsided as Tennesee's worst.

LSU's three worst points allowed games were 50 against the Hogs, 43 against Kentucky, and 34 against Bama. All those games were close.

Contrast that with Tennessee's 59 given up against Florida, 50 by Kentucky, 45 against Cal, and 41 by Alabama. They only won one, and the other three were ugly routs. (Cal and Bama are a combined 12-11)
