The Buckeyes second game is in what is now called the third round.

Congrats to the 4 Buckeyes who will be missing their graduation ceremonies on Sunday.

Seniors Scheduled to Graduate Sunday
Four Ohio State seniors learned just before the game Friday they had officially graduated from The Ohio State University. The four will not walk during winter graduation ceremonies Sunday in Columbus. David Lighty (consumer affairs), Jon Diebler (business marketing), Dallas Lauderdale (strategic communication) and Nikola Kecman (aviation management) earned their degrees last week. Another senior, Eddie Days of Richmond Heights, Ohio, is scheduled to graduate with a degree in family financial services following Ohio State's 2011 Spring Quarter.

I'll update the time in the thread title later tonight.

I don't care what the line is, either. Unless we're talking real money the spreads no longer matter. Just win. :osu:

How do you think we'll match up defensively with GM? I'm thinking:

Long: Craft
Pearson: Lighty
Hancock: Buford
Cornelius: Diebler
Morrison: Sully

I think this one will be close - GM seems very balanced offensively -I'm a bit worried about Cornelius or Hancock (maybe move Lighty to him if he gets hot). I don't see Morrison doing much offensively - he shoots 39% FT - our 5th and 6th men can do well if Sully get's into trouble.

They don't seem too deep - only about 7 play significant minutes - same as us.

Should be a good one - Go Bucks!

Just a quick glance at Ken Pom and I see GM is 6-5 in games against top 100 teams, the best opponent being #31 Villanova they just struggled to put away.

Vegas has it at -10.5, Ken Pom at 11.

The danger of a team getting hot from 3 is always there but barring that it seems to be one of those games that the media is too heavy on the underdog.

to put it in perspective, MICHIGAN is one spot ahead of George Mason in the KenPom rankings....

BTW Illinois is 17 and Florida is 16. Ohio State has played and beaten much better teams - it's just a matter of Ohio State taking care of business.

With the matchup with Kentucky looming, usually I'd be worried about a team looking forward, but I think this team has enough veterans to keep the freshmen focused.

Ironically, I live only 2-3 miles away from George Mason University. They are a solid contender that plays incredibly well with the players they have. They have excellent fundamentals with great team chemistry.

Ohio State will have to play it smart and not to throw away possessions or George Mason will make them pay like how they did that with Villanova. They should rely on pounding the ball inside to open up the threes. I see George Mason attempting to prevent Ohio State's perimeter shooting initially.
