I know Track doesn't seem to be an exciting sport, and the sprinters are arrogant showboats, but I like Gatlin. And it's great to have the world record in the premiere track and field event back in U.S. hands.

My math may be off but I think comes out to something like a 3.57 sec.forty.

I couldn't believe that number was right so I did the conversion 3 times and got the same time each instance.

a 3.57 40 is impossible and will never happen. my guess is it is no lower than a 4.1 40

Just by the math it would be a 3.57 but you have to take into account the start in the 40 and the extended amount of full speed running in the 100 meters.

I'm guess it would be in the 4.2's somewhere.

yeah, when the math guys tried to calculate ben johnon's 40 from a 100m they had to factor in accelleration and all this other crap. you can't just divide.
