Games to watch: Week 1

Buckin Crazy

All-American
Ok I was thinking we should make a topic for each week for us to compile good games to watch each week. Like Week 2 Texas OSU; Week three Michigan and ND. That sort of thing. We all are obviously going to watch all the osu games so ya.

Week 1:

Marquee Matchups
- USC @ Arkansas (Would have been better with McFadden)
- Cal @ Tennessee
- Notre Dame @ GTech
- Florida State @ Miami (9/4)

Other Interesting Games
- Akron @ Penn State (See if the luck has run out yet)
- TCU @ Baylor (2 teams on the rise)
- Marshall @ WVU (These teams hate each other...but WVU will blow them out)
- Hawaii @ Alabama (Bama's D is gone, can Hawaii score enough?)

I'll be watching Notre Dame and hoping that they crash and burn, oh how sweet it would be if the wheels fell off of the bandwagon in week one, plus we wouldn't have to hear the media frenzy (as much...). The only thing sweeter would be to dominate them again down in Arizona, or possibly if they lost every single game they play against the Big Ten.

That's what I'll be rooting for.

Thank you Mr. TV Builder Guy for making widescreen TVs with Picture-Out-Picture, side-by-side broadcasting!

Nine games that interest me:
Aug. 31 Thu. Northwestern @ Miami (OH) 7:30 p.m. ESPNU
Fitz's debut and the meeting of Randy Walker's two programs.
Sep. 2 Sat. Vanderbilt @ Michigan Noon ESPN
Sep. 2 Sat. Northern Illinois @ Ohio State 3:30 p.m. ABC/GP
Sep. 2 Sat. California @ Tennessee 5:30 p.m. ESPN
Sep. 2 Sat. Notre Dame @ GA Tech 8:00 p.m. ABC
Sep. 2 Sat. Southern California @ Arkansas 8:45 p.m. ESPN
Wake-up to College Game Day at 10:00 AM, watch all or most of these five football games between noon and midnight, channel surf to catch some others, then go to sleep after College Game Day Final signs off after 1:00 AM.
Sep. 3 Sun. TCU @ Baylor 5:30 p.m. FSN
Sep. 3 Sun. Kentucky @ Louisville 8:00 p.m. ESPN
More goodness on Sunday. The UK/Louisville matchup should be a great one since the UK president called out the Cardinals, saying he wants to shut them up.

No pressure in the home opener on the road at Papa Johns stadium against a Top-10 caliber team now, Rich Brooks. I'm guessing Louisville hangs at least 70 on the Cats.
Sep. 4 Mon. Florida State @ Miami (FL) 8:00 p.m. ESPN
I won't let no dag'gum suspensions ruin my enjoyment of this game, even if last years laugher set back the cause of offensive football 100 years.
