Your amazing, and consequently right, we have no traditions in the big 12.:bow: :bow: :shake:

Teams like Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Colorado have never had any level of success, and if there is a team in the nation that has more "traditions" than aggy, I don't know who it is.

Good football might be hard to come by this year, as far as i can tell we are going to make the pac 10 look like the nfl, but this is not normal and we will be back. I wish yall luck, can't wait for the game, bboy, you sir still make me laugh after all this time.

Oh please. For the last month, I have been browsing this thread and I have barely seen any respect for my horns. Despite most neutral observers saying this game is too close to call, everyone on this board predicts a 2-3 touchdown thumping by the buckeyes.

I have studied both teams as well and also believe that it will be a close game. I also think Vince's passing is underrated. He set a Texas record of consecutive completions in a game against Okie State last year and has the highest completion rate of any Texas QB in his first two years. And he did all this despite breaking in a new freshman corp of receivers last year.

VY's not going to run on OSU like he did with Michigan. But I also don't think OSU's speedy linebackers will contain him as much as been predicted on this board.

And if OSU focuses as much on VY as the OSU fanbase has, then that should open things up for Ramonce Taylor, Henry Melton, Jamaal Charles, and Jordan Shipley. Don't know those names yet...you will on Satuday night.:biggrin:

Also much has been made about the 6-0 at night. :! If you guys were 100-0 at night, I would be nervous. But six wins at night in the last 20 years at night is not much to brag about (and how many of those wins were ranked). Plus the horns seem to thrive on hostile crowds so please do your best help my team.

All I can say is that I hope the buckeye coaching staff is underestimating UT as much their fan base. If so, then the game may not be as close as I think it will be. However, if the coaches do take us seriously, then I agree with the rest of college football that Saturday's game should be one for the ages. Good luck and Hook 'em Horns!

Give it a rest crybaby. The majority of the board has been very cordial to the UT fans who aren't trolls (like yourself). I haven't seen many 2-3 touchdown thumping predictions.....but maybe you are here more than i am :roll2:

Scurry on back to hornfans if this is how you are going to act. It's very Aggy.

Frost status?

What is Frost's status for the game, is he in the doghouse? injured?

All accounts from spring practice & fall practice over the last 2 years is that he was going to be a helluva weapon....would be nice to unleash the secret weapon against UT

Seriously, though, I've been impressed with some of the Texas fans. I think that a majority of the Texas fans have said some weird, stupid stuff. BUT - those people didn't post very often. The few Texas fans who were informative and willing to discuss things rationally were the ones who posted a lot, and I enjoyed many of their posts. The only real problem that I can think of is that Texas fans say "y'all" way too much, and they don't say "Bloke" nearly enough (though none of us really says "Bloke" enough).

In conclusion, I hope that y'all Blokes can score yourself a field goal tomorrow night, with Ohio State winning by the final bloking score of 33-3.

If Texas' lines are as good as people say they are, I think a big key is to get a pretty big, early lead. 14-3 or 17-7 halftime score, I'd say. If Texas can keep it close late in the game, their O-Line may eventually wear down the Bucks' D-Line. Young will fade back, and have forever to throw to an open receiver or scramble for 10-15 yards every time. Their long, sustained drives will wear down the defense, and may prevent the Bucks' offense from getting into a rythem of their own. I have a feeling that if it comes down to a late field goal, it will be Texas kicking that field goal, not the Buckeyes.

However, I think that if Ohio State can play the spread formation as well as they did last week, with Zwith or Smick mixing runs and short passes accurately, Ohio State may jump out to that early lead. Short passes and runs for first downs, then a long pass to Holmes, Ginn, or whoever, will either get a big gain for the Buckeyes, or keep the defense honest. Ohio State can get 14-21 points in the first half. The defense, I think, just needs to contain Young and the running game and hold Texas to 7 or fewer points in the first half.

With a good halftime lead, Ohio State can go back to ball-control, eating the clock. Texas will get impatient, and start making mistakes - roughing the punter penalties, throwing into coverage, or Young will try to do too much and scramble for 2-3 yards.

I think the first 30 minutes will decide the game.
