As I mentioned earlier, we lack speed at OLB. And I'd hate to see us run too much nickel or commit a safety to him.

Well- That's gonna be the rub.... Even if you had an OLB who could cover the kid... lets jsut say you'd be pretty pissed that the dude was spending all his time on that. :wink2:

Anyway... if we go 3 WR's and you don't go to a nickel, you're either going to have a problem or you'd better man up and bring everyone else and pray. (This isn't just Texas, either)

Anyway... I'd think the game plan for your D is going to have to be nickel against that package until- or if- we show we can out muscle it... not to say we can't... but if I were Texas, I'd make us prove it.... plus, If I'm Texas, I want to be as fast on D as possible.

Yeah it sounds like you Texas Fans are worried about your Offenses Identity. I hope they do have there Identity because if they come into columbus without much of a gameplan as of what they are as a team then I just don't know if they could beat a team at night, and on the road. Nonetheless I'm just wait'n for this game to approach, and once it gets here I'll then be look'n forward to the michigan game. You can bet that I'll be front row at College Gameday that day! I'll get there at 3am if I have to!

Also the reason us buckeyes think so highly of Gonzo is because so many put so much into ginn/holmes. Not to mention Gonzo was recorded at running a 4.26. So Gonzo has the second fastest time of anyone right now behind Ginn 4.21.

Also FWIW- Marcus Vick was timed at a 4.22 40 yard dash... thats impressive right there.

The poo-head thinks he's good because he's getting married in Cleveland Clowns stadium. And he said its at 6:00, and there will be TV's there. If it's a noon-o'clock game, I'm in good shape. If it's a 3 o'clock game, the ceremony may have to start late.

Seriously, though, I probably don't know much about Texas, but I seem to remember their QB was one of those guys who runs all over the field and passes. Isn't that the same type we beat against Ok St? The teams Ohio State has a problem with seem to be NW-type teams that dink the ball down the field. I'm not so worried.

Speed and Power - we've got it,they don't.

Texasbuck, I'm down here with ya in Louisiana just across the state line. I really feel like Texas will be beat down in this game. I firmly believe that we are destined for another title. The Big 12 is very overrated. Look at this years bowl games. Texas Tech was the lone bright spot. I believe that the game will be very similar to our drubbing of OK State.

the only thing i know, i went to the oOSU game and one of their fans (who claimed he had to been every game that year) was impressed with our wr speed and the odd numbers they wore, granted he had a few in the tank (not 27 or vg deep though) when they were doing some warmup cathing drills, only problem our "wrs" were wearing 42, 47, 51, 17, 46

Gosh I can't wait to see Donte Whitner flashing this after he turns the lights out on one of their WR's over the middle.

how do you guys think JT will run our offense next year? i know he's a really old-school kinda guy but i really hope that he makes use of Ginn on offense and everything we can do with all of our young talents. it still does work to be conservative and eat clock but i hope he takes chances next year with Ginn and all of our guys. what do you think?
