You had better belive that I am right. Look at the game stats since the Michigan game of '04. I might be a die-hard Michigan fan, but I am also a realist who looks at facts, feels the momentum of the season, and can recognize talent.
When OSU whips Texas, they are number one in spite of any poll; moreover, they could smash Southern California with just about as much ease.
And until we get a defense at Michigan, we will not be able to compete with them either. I think OSU will win the NC in '06 too. I simply don't see a team that can compete with them.
If making a prediction makes me a bad Michigan fan, then say what you want. But I AM RIGHT about OSU.
If we can shed the cub scout defense, punish Notre Dame, and assert our determination to win the Big Ten, then we have a chance. If not, then OSU will beat us by 40+ points. Presently, however, all we have is an offense which clearly is no match for the OSU defense. In fact, if Notre Dame wins Saturday, I believe that it will be OSU vs. Notre Dame in the NC...another prediction.
No matter what happens in Ann Arbor, OSU will soundly defeat Texas and will dominate both sides of the ball. Mark it down as a "V" for Ohio State.
And while I am at it, I'll add a few more predictions and will put my rep on the line:
* Texas will not rush for more than 100 yards the entire game.
* OSU will not have to punt during the first half.
* OSU will score between 21-28 points before Texas gets on the board.
Texas simply does not play on the same level; no other team in the NCAA presently does either so Texas is in good company.
