i hope he gets the ball 40 times tomorrow.
Imagine the locker room speech at the half...

Mack: "I know we're down big, but we have to stick to our strengths..."Hemi" Melton will be runnin' the ball and will wear out their defense, when that happens, Vince will throw over the top, they'll never see it coming...after we setup the pass, Vince will run at will and we'll come back from behind and win on a last second field goal"

O-H

I saw some Texas fans around the Gameday set on my way home from work today...Average age: 60...I see what you guys mean when you say the old people buy all the Texas tickets

To get tickets to the game Texas season ticket holders had to donate at least $5000 during the past year to the Longhorn Foundation, so most of the people who got those tickets are older.

Atlanta took schaub because they needed a back up. They understand that their qb is going to take more of a beating than any other in the league. It was the smart thing to do.
I honestly don't want to get in an argument about this but teams don't use 3rd round picks just for back-up QBs. They use free agency. The only reason you take a QB at that spot is to give your starter a hint that you aren't happy. Period.

PS - I am not one of those saying that Vick is better than Vince or vice versa, but I will say, in all fairness, is I don't like Vick. I think he is a mediocre NFL QB at best.

What NFL team do you own? You certainly do know everything there is to know about personel moves and talent scouting.

Shit, I just realized we will be playing against Mike Vick AND Reggie Bush tomorrow!

power running does not have to be three yards and a cloud. What I ment by power was allowing our line to put a hat on a man and drive. I see the key to this game as your defensive line. If they can keep our o-line from reaching the second level then it will be a long day for the horns. We cannot allow hawk and co. to roam free. Yes we will have to take a shot every now and then, and I would love to mix in some passes on 1st down, but the bottom line for texas will be can they over power your d line and control the trenches

This is my take as well.

Hell, even Michigan fans know who the better team is. Just read this post by a hard-core Michigan fan made on "another" Buckeye board:

Reply New Post Re: Texas Humiliation Predicted by Rufus Morgan

You had better belive that I am right. Look at the game stats since the Michigan game of '04. I might be a die-hard Michigan fan, but I am also a realist who looks at facts, feels the momentum of the season, and can recognize talent.

When OSU whips Texas, they are number one in spite of any poll; moreover, they could smash Southern California with just about as much ease.

And until we get a defense at Michigan, we will not be able to compete with them either. I think OSU will win the NC in '06 too. I simply don't see a team that can compete with them.

If making a prediction makes me a bad Michigan fan, then say what you want. But I AM RIGHT about OSU.

If we can shed the cub scout defense, punish Notre Dame, and assert our determination to win the Big Ten, then we have a chance. If not, then OSU will beat us by 40+ points. Presently, however, all we have is an offense which clearly is no match for the OSU defense. In fact, if Notre Dame wins Saturday, I believe that it will be OSU vs. Notre Dame in the NC...another prediction.

No matter what happens in Ann Arbor, OSU will soundly defeat Texas and will dominate both sides of the ball. Mark it down as a "V" for Ohio State.

And while I am at it, I'll add a few more predictions and will put my rep on the line:
* Texas will not rush for more than 100 yards the entire game.
* OSU will not have to punt during the first half.
* OSU will score between 21-28 points before Texas gets on the board.

Texas simply does not play on the same level; no other team in the NCAA presently does either so Texas is in good company.

My mechanic doesn't own a BMW, but he certainly knows a lot about them.

As for scouting and personel moves, I know you were just trying to be an a-hole, but my uncle is in the Bucs' front office, and has been involved pro-football (both NFL and USFL) for his entire adult life. So, while I'm not saying I know EVERYTHING about football, I do feel like I know more than the average football fan. And my opinion is that Vick is average at best. I know the Bucs loved facing him because if you take away the run he can't beat you.

Yep. And if you take away Joe Montana's arm he sucked.

If you think the single reason that Schaub was taken was because the Falcons are unhappy with Vick, then you are a grade-A moron. I'm sure it didn't have anything to do with injury concerns, its that they think he's mediocre.
