Game Thread Game Two: #1 Ohio State 24, #2 Texas 7 (9/9/06)

I don't believe I've said a single thing about this game yet, so I'll throw some b.s. out:

tOSU will use more misdirection in the running game, typically out of a shotgun split-backs formation, than we've seen in the past. This is why the coaches went to WVU this year. tOSU will, from this formation and from the "I", also try to trap block and spring quick hitters with considerable success. Texas' DE's are terriffic, but their DT's like to penetrate like porn stars and tOSU will use their considerable ability to do so against them early. Look for Pittman or Beanie to pop a long one or two right up the gut fairly early. When UT adjusts, OSU will revert back to its more usual game but will have slowed down the pass rush and inside out pursuit for Smith, Pittman, and and co. I won't predict a score because I don't know how well tOSU will slow down UT's running game and I'm concerned about the continued trend of fumbling in the red zone, but tOSU will move the ball well on the ground and in the air and will manage to win.

I just got out of the hospital....nurses came in this morning to find me wearing my OH...IO... 2006 fan shirt and my buckeye necklace with my hospital gown. They finally gave me my walking papers and sent me on my way with a "GO BUCKS!"

Now I'm ready for a pep rally.... less than an hour til the REMATCH we've all been waiting for...
