Game Thread Game Two: #1 Ohio State 24, #2 Texas 7 (9/9/06)

Your Austin weather update

When I got into my car last Friday afternoon in the parking lot after work, the temperature was a sultry 106 degrees. It fell, of course, to a much more bearable 101, but climbed to 102 for the balance of the ride. Don't know if it's global warming, or otherwise, but it's not looking good for September.

This has probably already been done before, but maybe we can play the "this game will boil down to <blank>" game.

Right now, I think the game will boil down to turnovers. Our offense versus Texas defense will be a wash IMO. Both of those sides are stacked and I think it would be hard pressed for anyone to get anything done in that battle. However, if our "young" defense can force a turnover or two, thats more time our O spends on the field and more chances to gain an advantage.

We sort of discussed the whole this game will boil down to a few pages back, but I think the consensus is that it will come down to the Frosh QBs from Texas. The trenches would be my number #2 because if Texas can't run, this one should be over. Thankfully we have MULTIPLE options on offense.

Ummm..... You realize it's May, right?

Yeah, Texas is hotter than Cbus... and it will be hotter in Texas than it is in Columbus come September... so what? What's the difference between 95 and 105, really? Both are damn hot when you're out ballin. Columbus aint exactly in the artic circle, bro.
