Game Thread Game Three: Ohio State 27, San Diego State 6 (final)

We really need the guys to get this offense untracked the second half.

Iowa and TSUN made first half statements. At least one team ahead of us has to lose today and we don't want Notre Dame or TSUN to jump us because limp home with a two touchdown win over a team ranked as lowly as these guys are. No more "we shoulda's". The Bucks need to execute on offense, coaches and players, like we know they can.

They need their heads up when they leave this game so that they hold them up next game against Iowa.

I still think they will.

Nothing wrong with the call of Schnittker IMHO, its all about taking what you can get. (in other words protect the rock)

Even if he didn't break the plane, its only the 1st down, we still have 2 more pops from close in.

I disagree. Handing the ball off when you only need one foot introduces too much risk. The QB sneak is ideal, particularly when you're running it behind Mangold, one of the best centers in I-A. And just to clear things up, I'm not talking about a QB draw or a QB sneak out of a shotgun or anything. I'm talking about the exact play we got our 2nd TD on.

That is a guaranteed outcome
#5 TN vs # 6 FL

We just need to throw the ball downfield more...Troy is just looking for an excuse to tuck it and run.
Agreed - better distribution - I am counting on the half time adjustments by JT & crew to get us into the realm of 40+ points today.

I have to disagree........trying to be positive but with 80% of the practice snaps and your throwing the ball as poorly as he is, well I have to be critical of his performance to this point. I don't see how you can't be suprised by our lack of offensive production.

poor throws and missed reads. last game out he threw 3 shoulda been ints and fumbled 2 snaps. *shrug* an incomplete pass is a step up. i knew this game wasn't going to be a shake n bake blow out. we lost our fire and intensity last week. in addition to that this might as well be the first game of the season all over again. all i was hoping for was better play calling. thus far i think i have seen that even if those plays haven't been executed very well. our players will forget about last week. hell, hamby even looks like he is starting to get his confidence back.

i don't blame you for your dissapointment. but i didn't expect ts to come out and play like he did against scum. i expect the second half to be better. but i doubt it will be as good as many are hoping. ts needs to play the entire game no matter what the score is.
