UNC's coaches, or whomever, also failed to review a fumble by Vick on his on 20-yard-line in the first half. It could have been reviewed because it wasn't whistled dead, but was ruled down.
Huge inaction on the part of someone, whether UNC or the refs. I can't remember who's responsible for instant replay.

I was at the game tonight in Blacksburgh... couple things stood out to me. 1)Marcus Vick is definatly having a rough time throwing the ball now, 2) Techs' defense is pretty quick, and 3) their Crowd is no where near ours lol
Good game overall... I think Va Tech against FSU should be a good one for 2 reasons. 1) This game is in Jacksonville, and 2) Va Tech can be beat if you take the run away from them (which FSU can do)...

I still am not sold on Va Tech, they have a very good defense, but there O' is a huge work in progress.

I don't know if the acc adopted the big 10 replay system. If so, the only person that has the power to review a play is the replay technician, who is in the booth. the officials, nor any coaches have any say. if it is not the same as the Big10's, your on your own...

Tech's defense is very good... I'd love the matchup, but their secondary is big but slow they average 6'1 220 pounds. That would give us a huge advantage for our recievers who are hard to get ahold of cuz of their speed. Their D-line is good and fast and would create problems on the edges... However if you can run the ball straight at them you can have some success. Tech Still hasn't faced a Option type of QB. Plus they've never faced a QB who can both run and pass... I'd like our chances against tech's defense we match up well. The reason for that is because we can power the ball if we have to, and we can use our speed if we have to. Which tech is not very good at stoping when you can do alittle of both (see Miami Game)
If you have a good run defense (which we do), and you can take away their running game (which we would) you can easily manage Tech's offense. Vick is very fast, but we've faced a couple fast Qb's this year and did a very good job at limiting what they did (VY, and Micheal Robinson). Their Recievers aren't bad, but they do not have a deep threat when it comes to their Recievers. Plus their O-line has shown time in and time out that they don't give marcus a whole lot of time to connect on deep passes, so as far as them getting behind us would be very hard for them to do. If you can jus get near marcus he'll rush his throws, so if you pressure him he's prone to throwing interceptions.
If we played tech we'd have to do two things 1) Not turn the ball over, and 2) Play equally as well as tech special teams wise. I say those two because I honestly believe we have a better team on both Offense and Defense.
We do turn the ball over alittle, but we've also shown we can keep that in check if we make it a priority, and we definatly can match their special teams. I'd give the Edge to Tech when it comes to blocking kicks, but when it comes to Returning kicks/punts, and Covering Kicks/punts... we're better at both.
