Game Thread - USC 38, ASU 28 (Final)

Wow. ASU defense is really terrible. Now all the national media will go off spouting about how great USC is, and how the were able to come together and defeat arguably the worst dl in one of the worst denfensive conferences in college football. I think I'm going to be sick.

Their luck is going to run out. It may be against Cal, UCLA, or a bowl game, but they can't keep coming from behind like this, especially when the competition gets tougher.

The problem is that the competition doesn't get better. The last shot in the regular season may be ND. UCLA may be able to give them some kind of game, but I don't know if they have the offensive firepower. They have an average offense and an average offense. I don't think they'll come that close to getting it done.

I can't believe I'm going to say this.

GO ND

Wow. ASU really blew this one. They have to have the worst dl I have ever seen to let USC come all the way back by simply running the ball up the middle. (OK, I didn't actually see them, but from what I've read over the internet, they sound really bad).

Go Sun Devils!!!

No, on TV, they look like a bunch of matadors-turn and let White/Bush charge right past. Texas has a huge, physical D-line-no one in the Pac-10 does.

Any team that can play a shred of defense and has a mobile QB can go toe to toe with USC.

This one was fucking pathetic, I could have run for 150 today vs ASU.

Uh, maybe Cal?

If I'm not mistaken, they have already lost their starting quarterback for the season and Lynch is also out (although I don't know for how long). They didn't look too impressive against NMSU a couple of weeks ago. Again if I'm wrong, please correct me. These were the reasons that I was basing my statement on.

Uh, man. Keller just threw another interception inside the ten. He now has 5 on the day.

Its going to have to be ND or UCLA in a rivalry game upset special. No one else left on USC's schedule can beat them.

Texas, VaTech, OSU could give them all they would want in a Bowl game.

Fucking shit, ASU had them....

Now we have to go through the next 32597 hours of sportscenter talking about USC, just like last week, its a freaking joke, they should get their own channel on the tv with how much they talk about the condoms- i mean trojans.

the good thing about this game is that it gives more confidence to the teams that have yet to play usc. also, the coaches from notre dame, ucla, and cal should be taking several notes. while notre dame can score, i don't think that their defense is very good. i may be wrong. ucla and cal's defense? i don't know.

anyone else notice that carroll has no leash on his team? how many penalties were there? how many times have bush and company dived unnecessarily into the endzone? white was talking to the camera at the end of the game, saying, "we're too dominant." carroll might as well be bowden or coker.

ASU prety much put on a clinic (for the second time this season) of how to blow a big game. Terrible run defense, stupid turnovers, just a total meltdown, especially after they fought so hard to reclaim the lead late in the 4th quarter.

Texas should get some more first place votes this week.

you know, as poorly as asu's defense was during the second half, giving up 38 points is not so bad. sure, 38 points is a lot, but asu has the potential to post a big score against usc's defense. i feel that what lost it for asu was the turnovers. five interceptions. you can rarely beat anyone throwing five interceptions.

had usc been told before the game that keller would give up five interceptions, they would have expected to win the game by 30 points.
