the defensive interference call on usc's 4th and 4 play had to be one of the worst calls i've ever seen. first, there was absolutely no interference. absolutely none. second, even if there was interference, the catch would have been made out of bounds, which negates the penalty.
i try not to be a conspiracist, but penalties like that forces one to wonder.
oh, that official that threw the flag might have been, but i'm not sure, the same official who shortly after called a reception a touchdown. the receiver was so far out of bounds on the reception that i think his foot didn't even touch the chalk. of course, the touchdown was overturned.

Agree. The pass interference on 4th down was BS, and I starting screaming right away on that temporary TD call. I believe it was the same guy.

there was as much offensive interference as there was defensive interference on the 4th and 4 play. that call just made me sick. oliver stone needs to make a movie about penalties as "poorly" called as that one.
