You know, I have been so impressed by PSU today, OSU is going to have a tough time with these guys at Happy Valley... the way Penn St. is playing, if they are consistent, they could win the Big Ten Title. (I hope not)

Minny just ran a slick reverse. Maroney to the right, WR coming around goes left, ball stays in the middle of the field where 2 PSU guys are there to fall on it.

I agree they do look good today - think the opposition (or lack thereof) might have anything to do with this?

Penn State took them out of the running game. Minny is notoriously 1-dimensional. Penn State couldn't put away Northwestern last week - who can both pass and run.

They look good, their defense has some teeth (I think I heard Connor's name called, so they seem to be back at full strength) plus Williams looks like a real winner for their special teams and ofense.

But, its not the same if they are playing a good balanced offense.

Not taking Penn State for granted, just not completely wowed or in awe.

We shall see in the 2nd half if Minny has another comeback in their tank.

Should we get ready for hordes of invading Lions next week - Oh wait, that's what BN is for...

Penn State took over on downs. Minny had to go for it on 4th.

Every year people talk about Minnesota as if they really are as good as some of the best Big 10 teams... and then, every year, they get blown out and fall flat on their faces... No surprise here...

As for PSU.. uh oh... lol... They looked good, and with this being our first away game... uh oh...
I've been worried about this game since I saw it on the schedule... I think we win based on us having played better teams so far and having more talent... But it'll be a lot closer than we would like I think... should be fun :oh: :io:

Here is Penn St's schedule so far...... They really haven't played anyone yet. Minnesota is good at starting strong........and struggling to get to a bowl game.

Not to sound too much like Tibor here but if you compare our schedule to theirs its closer than you might think.

Central Michigan beat Miami at Miami.

USF and UC are better than SDSU

I'd be willing to bet NU and Minny are better than Iowa by the time its all said and done.

Obviously we have played Texas and they have nothing on that but this isn't going to be as easy as some would think. Throw in all the intangibles in their favor and its a scary game that I have been afraid we'll lose since I saw it on the schedule.
