Game Thread: Notre Dame 38, Stanford 31 (Final)

So no concern from you about OSU missing the BCS altogether? Do you know something I don't?

EDIT: Irish march the field and miss a 42 yd fieldgoal. Still a 1 score game.
Didn't stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor do I have special insight.
I certainly think it would be a crime and a crying shame if the Buckeyes are not a 2nd at-large from the Big 10. And, I recognize that ND down to the Cardinal frees up the At-large picture completely. I'm simply hoping to see the Buckeyes led by Tressel take ND in a BCS bowl. ND losing to the Cardinal removes that from the picture entirely, and that's the game I would really like to see.

It would be a famous victory.

Would be a hell of a game. Nice to establish dominance in the mid-west and expose the domers at the same time.

ND is marching down the field with Walker. The Stanford D forgot how to tackle - ND is starting to wear them down mentally and physically. Domers have the ball on the 11 or so.

Stanford stops Walker on an East-West run, and again with backfield penetration 3rd and 10. Domers really need a TD with their kicking situation.

WR drops the 3rd down TD pass. Here we go...

EDIT: FG right down the center. ND increases the lead to 9.

Excellent ST play by Stanford.

I am modestly surprised that Harris didn't go for the 2 point conversion - not the right time to do such, its just that that's the sort of odd call harrris would always try when he was running the show in Da Burg.
