Game Thread: Notre Dame 38, Stanford 31 (Final)

The unflappable Weis looks positively miffed at the Irish performance so far.

Let's all remember, to, that if ND ALMOST wins, that will count for a lot.

If they ALMOST win then I see them moving up just one spot in the polls. A win may take them all the way to number 2.

This Weis coached offense looks unstoppable. He is truly an amazing football mind.

How on earth would the Ohio State defense ever stop this ND offense?
Caveat - first half only, Weis may adjust.
Caveat - might be the worst offensive outing by Quinn who seems to have rolled back the clock in the 2nd quarter to 2004.

Despite which --

I truly believe that if a Harris led team can do this to ND that our D would be more than capable, and our Offense certainly able to do more than keep pace.

I agree, but this is Stanford. Should he have to adjust? It looks like this ND team is TOTALLY unprepared for this game. That falls on the coach, IMO.

The Irish D is awful and Quinn looks like...well, like you said, he looks like Quinn last season.

Come on Stanford. Shit, I wanted to be in bed by now.

We are in very close agreement on many points I think.
I've said it before, worth saying again - the Irish secondary is porous, badly schooled and constantly exhibits apalling technique. That first Cardinal TD the corner, once again, neglected to look for the ball - even within 3 yards of the end-zone.

Personally though, I want ND to win so that Dan shuts the fuck up about his Ducks.

The game within game that the Cardinal has definitely won is in Special teams on Punt. They have given ND's return game next to no time.
