Game Thread Game Ten: Ohio State 38, Wisconsin 17 (final)

I hate the fact that this is on the BTN. I am TDY in Florida so I won't get to see the game. It's bad enough I have to listen to the Florida fans trashing us all the time. Now I won't get to see the game. Thank God for TimBuck2. I'll get to download it later. Here's to hoping the bucks hang 40 on Wisky.

Just fork out some of your per diem and go to a sports bar, bw3's, or similar place. Be waiting at the door when they open and stake out a small TV in a corner. I spent the 2000 season TDY in Texas and was stationed in Washington for four years in the 90's. I didn't miss any games which were televised.

I would guess that the only chance for the Badgers would be to pound the ball on the ground, win big in TOP and hope the Buckeyes screw up a lot.
If that is so, my only worry is the way Penn State's OL was getting to the second level on Saturday and creating some pretty nice lanes.
In thinking about how that is prevented against Wisconsin, I come up with 1. Run a regular 4-3 against them, 2. Get Denglinger back in there.
Thoughts?

While I don't think Lance should be able to play in this game.. I would like nothing more than to see him come to columbus. This way that fuck Bielema can lose by 24 and will be less proned to bitch about "well if we had a healthy tailback"

I hate this state/area i'm in (st.paul, minnesota) for 2 reasons 1) Brewster and 2) Bielema. I'm sandwiched between two big ten shitty coached schools. Bielema with this sun glasses can bitch all he wants because Lance smith isn't coming to Columbus and UW isn't leaving columbus wiht a win.

I'm going to say it now I absolutly can't stand wisconsin at all.. I have no resect for Bielema (did for alvarez though) and I dislike that program more than Michigan.

1. I never claimed Wisconsin has better potential than PSU as a defense. Wisconsin has a better defense when they are focused with controlled aggression than PSU does when the aren't. We can't say which version of PSU showed up Saturday.

2. Home vs. Road is a psychological factor. My whole theme surrounds the idea that there is a potential for a hotly contested game.

3. 3 games isn't a large enough sample to make a definitive proclamation that Wisconsin is terrible on the road.

4.:oh::io: stadium is always very welcoming to the Badgers.

Having Denlinger would obviously be a better situation, but it seemed to me that Worthington was having more issues than Larimore. When Abdallah was in there, he seemed to be making a lot more plays than Worthington. In fact, the longer the season goes, I'm not so sure Abdallah shouldn't be getting more PT.

Grant and JL had better step up and play more like they did against MSU - that would make more of a difference.

Plus, once we started bringing Russell up more, we pretty much shut their run game down. We're probably a lot safer putting an extra guy in the box against Wisky than against PSU - Wisky doesn't have the playmakers on the outside that PSU does.

We gave Penn State the run to take away the pass. We may well use that strategy again because it looks like their weakness is their defense and they probably wont be able to keep up if we take away the pass.

By the way, Wisky gave up 221 to Penn rushing, I bet Beanie is salivating for this weekend.

3. It is when you've only played three road games

4. Not prior to 1999 it wasn't

OK, I just had to dig this up. Prior to Wiscy's current 3-game winning streak at The Shoe, their record in Ohio Stadium is 2-24-3. That's right...two fucking wins in 29 games.

Their 3-game parade in our house comes to a brickwall halt Saturday...
