Consider registering! Fewer and higher quality ads, no emails you don't want, access to all the forums, download game torrents, private messages, polls, Sportsbook, etc. Even if you just want to lurk, there are a lot of good reasons to register!
I guess it's better than not being #1, but a couple of quality wins at this point would make it easier to talk smack to all the Rednecks i work with....
Just find out their favorite team, point out that said team didn't win all of it's scheduled games, and them ask them if they realize how the whole thing works. There are very few teams left, even with 1 loss, that can truthfully say that the 1 loss was a good loss. Many of them include a loss to a good team that got beat by a not-so-good team. Play the degree game with them for a minute, then just end by using the 'and 0' part. Eventually, you'll win.

The Ohio State Buckeyes took a break from conference play with a game against in-state Mid-America Conference member Kent State and came away with a rather easy 48-3 win. Their win, combined with Kentucky's upset of LSU and California's loss at home to Oregon State, have elevated the Buckeyes to the #1 ranking in the major polls and BCS, despite having not had what most consider a major test on the schedule to this point.
