looks like he ran into his blocker (left guard was pulling) and lost the handle...

on the bright side though, one good thing is NIU is backed up deep...

edit: he ran into Stan White...

I know this is picky, but does any one else feel that this teams is just sitting back now and now really pushing. You can also tell that this is the first game, people are getting winded. Not in complete game shape. Now we fumble, our d better step up and stop playing unmotivated football.

This is one of the reasons why the media always dogs us so much, we are not running up the score. Our play calling has changed completely since we got a comfortable lead. Other schools would just keep running up the score (cough, cough USC cough cough) to make the media drool all over themselves. Its good to see a classy coach like Tressell.

we're a little unmotivated because the game has been over since the first snap of the second quarter...
