This game is playing perfectly as a prep for Texas. Just enough butt-whippin' to get confidence and the edge, but just enough mistakes and ability on the other side of the ball to show us that we aren't unbeatable. Wolfe is the perfect "scout-teamer" to prepare for Charles and the Texas attack.

I will grant that the D has a lot to work on, but notice the similarities here between Wolfe and Sutton of NW last year. Hard, tough, quick back who will get his. Sutton had 94. Right now, Wolfe has 91 on 18 carries, plus the catches. He's good. But they only have 6 on the board. The D needs to improve, but NIU deserves credit on offense for not giving up. They'll put points on the board against teams this year.

Our defense looks a little unmotivated. Especially for a unit trying to make a name for themselves. I know they are young, but our dline is being controlled way to much by the NI linemen. Granted, NI is holding alot and getting away with it. These new jerseys make it very easy to see the Olinemens hands on the outside. Richardson was held, but they call the shove on the QB. Hmmm..
